We are excited about the success of VILOs here at Ivy Tech Region 3. If you are interested in developing VILOs for your courses, then please read the three-step process below to help you get started:

Please view the VILOs available on this site. You may find VILOs that meet your immediate needs, or you may be inspired to create one for your class. VILOs are very versatile and can be used in face-to-face, hybrid, online, and two-way video classes.
Identify topics/concepts that are difficult for your students to grasp. Be creative and think outside of the box when conceptualizing VILOs to address your students' needs.
Connect with the Instructional Design Office at your region or contact us for assistance in development of VILOs.

VILOs Collaboration Submission

The VILOs team is seeking collaborative partners that are interested in developing a relationship. The VILOs team has collected a diverse list of ideas for new VILOs from their audience over the past year. As much as we would like to, we can not create all of these wonderful tools for student learning! Thus we seek counterpart administrators, faculty, media technicians, instructional development professionals and of course, creative minds. We are interested in collaborative partnerships with individuals, small groups, educational institutions, and industrial or professional organizations. This collaborative effort could be on several levels:

1. Organizations that wish to have VILOs team present and inspire those wishing to try an innovative and creative approach to teaching and training, utilizing a video interactive format.

2. Organizations that wish to visit the VILOs team campus and observe a VILOs project in the making. This could be a customized workshop with the goal of training.

3. Organizations that wish to have the VILOs team work with their teachers and trainers to target, film, edit and render a VILO as a contracted service.

In an effort to create an open-source library of VILOs, the VILOs team is compiling a list of VILOs “requests” from the “What would you create?” card submissions that are collected during various conferences attended.
